OSPF(open shortest path first)协议的报文刷新机制会产生大量的报文,给网络带来很大的突发流量。为了减少OSPF给网络带来的负载,该文对OSPF的报文刷新机制进行深入的分析,证明了延长OSPF报文刷新间隔不会影响协议行为和性能的结论。据此该文提出了ERR(enhanced randomized refresh)机制。ERR机制采用随机分散OSPF报文的刷新时间和延长OSPF报文刷新间隔的方法,消除了OSPF带来的突发流量和减少了OSPF报文的数量。该文采用VENUS模拟器进行模拟,实验结果显示:ERR机制比标准刷新机制减少了三分之一的报文,同时消除了OSPF刷新报文给网络带来的突发流量。
The packet refresh mechanism of the OSPF (open shortest path first) protocol generates a large number of packets, which brings a large burst of traffic to the network. In order to reduce the load caused by OSPF on the network, this paper analyzes the message refresh mechanism of OSPF deeply and proves the conclusion that extending OSPF packet refresh interval will not affect the protocol behavior and performance. Accordingly, the paper proposes ERR (enhanced randomized refresh) mechanism. The ERR mechanism adopts the method of randomly dispersing OSPF packet refresh time and extending OSPF packet refresh interval to eliminate the burst traffic and reduce the number of OSPF packets caused by OSPF. This paper simulates with the VENUS simulator. The experimental results show that the ERR mechanism reduces the one-third packet by the standard refresh mechanism and eliminates the burst traffic caused by the OSPF refresh packet to the network.
