报纸的系统质是它的新闻性,那么作为子系统的副刊当然也应具有新闻性。有无新闻性,将决定它能否作为整体中一个不可缺少的、占居重要位置的有机部分而存在。另一方面,有无新闻性也影响着副刊作为一种独特的文化自身的功能与魅力。从副刊与报纸新闻的关系来看,要使二者产生最佳相干效应,即优化二者的整体功能,就必须加强二者的有机结合。这种结合可体现于两个方面,一种是微观配合,一种是宏观配合,所谓微观配合即针对具体新闻的延伸补充,如结合某些具有典型意义的新闻杂文、随笔、漫画等形式,对新闻的主题、意义加以开掘、加以强化,或对历史背景、有关知识予以介绍,予以阐释;亦可运用报告文学特写等形式对某些新闻人物作深层的、整体的反映。所谓宏观配合有两层意思,一是副刊的内容基 The newspaper’s system quality is its newsability, so as a sub-system supplements, of course, should also be newsworthy.
