多元化战略是企业发展到一定阶段的必然选择。实施多元化战略的企业应该具备一定的条件,包括企业在行业中的竞争地位、企业技能与资源的积累水平以及对相关业务知识的掌握。企业要采取多元化战略,不仅要把握实施多元化的时机,还要对多元化的业务进行选择。“P-M-C”模型基于准入条件,按照企业胜任力和市场获利性将多元化的业务分为九种类型,在符合准入条件的基础上,企业可通过市场获利性和企业胜任力分析对照“P-M-C”模型对多元化业务做出选择。
