The DNA computing workshop held in the Netherlands in 2001 focused on two almost unrelated disciplines: computer science and molecular biology. Computer scientists are trying to apply the principles of molecular biology to computing platforms; and molecular biologists want to develop computers that can use DNA for information storage. In other words, anyone's job is inseparable from a field that he is not yet familiar with. When people are willing to see the cooperation among different disciplines, they do not realize that some disagreements on things sometimes cause some displeasure.
