喀什,又名喀什噶尔,意为玉石之地。对于这个地方,长久以来就有着“不到喀什就等于没到新疆”的美誉。特别是2010年以来,随着中央决策设立喀什经济开发区,这个中国最西部的城市更是魅力倍增。从官员到学者,从商人到游客,各色人等接踵而来,喀什俨然成为一个新的梦想天堂。2010年秋冬之际,本刊记者有幸来到这里。当走出喀什火车站,乘上维吾尔小伙子驾驶的出租车风驰般驶入城中,透过朦胧的雨雾,街边那玲琅满目的商店和越建越高的居民楼,除了招牌均用维吾尔、汉两种文字标注外,与其他城市显得并无二致。但当记者驻留在这里,走上街头,走进古城,走进巴扎,又感觉到浓烈的西域风情。这便是喀什,一个让人着迷却又一眼看不透的地方。
