Objective To investigate the effect of bladder irrigation frequency on the prevention of urinary tract infection in patients with spinal cord injury who cleaned intermittent catheterization. Methods From July 2012 to July 2013, 137 patients (experimental group) with a bladder flushing frequency of 1 time / d and 141 patients (control group) with a flushing frequency of 2 beats / week were compared using a randomized controlled trial Catheter-related urinary tract infection incidence. Results The urinary tract-associated urinary tract infection rates in the experimental group were 2.84%, 14.89% and 27.66% at 48 h, 7 d and 14 d after catheterization respectively and 2.19%, 16.79% and 29.93% in the control group respectively There was no significant difference in stage (P> 0.05). Conclusions Daily bladder irrigation has no obvious effect on urinary tract-associated urinary tract infection in patients with spinal cord injury and intermittent catheterization.
