There is a report that there is a lack of correspondence between abnormal Q waves and the degree of hypertrophy in the interventricular septum. The authors used two-dimensional echocardiography to measure left and right ventricular wall thickness in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and analyzed the relationship between wall thickness and abnormal Q waves. An average of 67 (36 males, 31 females) aged 40 to 17 years old had an average of 6 (1 to 20) years of confirmed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. No case of a history of myocardial infarction.
