“Lead” is not a new topic any longer. On October 18th， Dr. Maria Neira， Director of Public Health and Environment of World Health Organization （WHO）， said in a statement， “Lead poisoning remains one of the most important environmental health concerns for children globally， and lead paint is a major flashpoint for children’s potential lead poisoning.” She appealed to protect children from lead poisoning by avoiding the use of lead paint through a series of measures. The news immediately attracted the high attention from every social sector. Different questions like what is the harm of “lead poisoning” and the effects on children make “lead poisoning of children” the focus of social concerns again.
