天然气是最有希望的汽车代用燃料之一。为此,日本丰田汽车公司开发了燃用天然气的CNG(Compressed Natural Gas)汽车。CNG发动机的基本特性已经弄清,并确定了压缩比、空燃比、点火时间的最佳参数。天然气不足时,也可启用汽油。在海拉克斯的装载平台上安装了20MPa高压的储气罐。高压调节器就位于罐旁,这样,可以采用短的高压管,从而提高了安全性。该车能达到加拿大1987年的排放标准,燃料经济性比一般汽油车高出10%。文中论证了CNG发动机的基本测功试验结果,叙述了车辆结构和车辆的试验结果。
Natural gas is one of the most promising alternative fuels for the car. To this end, Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan has developed a natural gas-fired CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) cars. The basic characteristics of the CNG engine have been clarified and the best parameters for compression ratio, air-fuel ratio, and ignition timing are determined. Gas is also available when gas is low. A 20MPa high pressure gas tank was installed on the Hylax’s loading platform. The high pressure regulator is located next to the tank so that short high pressure tubing can be used, increasing safety. The car can meet Canada’s emission standards in 1987, fuel economy than the average gasoline car by 10%. In the paper, the basic dynamometer test result of CNG engine is demonstrated, and the test results of vehicle structure and vehicle are described.
