女性文学是诞生于一定的社会历史条件下,具有现代人文精神内涵,以女性为经验主体、思维主体、审美主体和言说主体的文学。中国的女性文学到90年代由于空前的作品数量和广泛深刻的影响才正式被文学史所接受。与此同时女性文学也由于“身体写作”和片面否定男性而被限制了发展,但是随之而来的许多批评理论却并未对女性文学进行客观的批判,而是带着某些偏见,这就使得本来就举步艰难的女性文学陷入更加困难的境地。从某种程度上说,这是女性被定义为“他者”和僵化的“二元对立”观念的影响。
