Like all high-end industrial products, a new model is not that easy to create, and it’s harder to stay young for a long time. With the rapid development of science and technology, aircraft manufacturers spend billions of dollars each year on the improvement of existing models to ensure the competitiveness of their products. Among them, the strategy of replacing a new generation of engines with existing models is often the most common type of continuation product “career” that aircraft manufacturers use. Because compared with the development of a new product, replacement risk and capital investment is much lower. For users, the new aircraft not only saves a lot of fuel costs, but also maintains a high degree of consistency with the existing fleet.
