Bowery Street, located in the Lower East Side of New York City, is one of the oldest streets in Manhattan with a typical Old Town façade. Narrow and deep shops next to one another, competing for huge deposits along the street. Due to the close proximity to Chinatown, there are no shortage of Chinese signboards on the road, especially shops specializing in kitchenware or lighting. With the revival of the Lower East Side in the 1990s, this once-prosperous, once-mixed street is quietly changing. Since the beginning of the new century, some high-end apartments and shops have been successively appearing among the numerous kitchenware shops and signboards. 2007 day
