来自商务部的统计资料显示,2003年全国已设立外商投资企业总体运行良好,其工业增加值、出口额、税收、银行结售汇顺差值等主要经济指标的增长幅度均高于全国平均水平,在国民经济总量,特别是在国民经济增量中所占比重继续提高,对国民经济持续快速健康发展的促进作用明显增强。2003年现存注册运营的约23万家外商投资企业(工业企业约16万家),实现工业增加值达11174亿元人民币,同比增长20%,高于全国工业增加值增幅(17.00%)3个百分点,占全国工业增加值(41045亿元)的27.22%,所占比重较上年提高1.5个百分点。出口额达2403.41亿美元,同比增长41.43%,出口增加值704.04亿美元,占全国出口增加值(1128.05亿美元)的62%。外商投资企业银行结售汇顺差值654.14亿美元,比上年增长38.80%,占全国银行结售汇顺差值(1217.22亿美元)的53.74%,是同期国家外汇储备净增加值的55.99%。外商投资企业缴纳税收4268亿元人民币,同比增长22.81%,占全国税收总额的比重达20.86%。外商投资企业对外依存度明显高于其它类型企业,出口值占其工业产值的45.85%,高于其它类型企业出口所占比重29.16个百分点。

The foreign exchange settlement of foreign-invested enterprises reached 65.414 billion U.S. dollars, up 38.80% over the previous year, accounting for 53.74% of the national bank’s foreign exchange sales surplus (121.722 billion U.S. dollars), representing 55.99% of the national foreign exchange reserves’ net added value over the same period. Foreign-invested enterprises paid taxes of 426.8 billion yuan, an increase of 22.81% over the same period of last year, accounting for 20.86% of the total national tax revenue. The degree of dependence on foreign investment of enterprises with foreign investment is obviously higher than that of other types of enterprises, with the export value accounting for 45.85% of the industrial output value, which is 29.16% higher than that of other types of enterprises.
