The tortuous experience of Zhu De joining the Chinese Communist Party is a well-known incident in the history of the Chinese Communist Party. One of the most talked-about debates was about why Chen Du-xiu refused to join the party and allowed Chu Teh to fulfill his aspirations only when he went to Europe. Reviewing the process of Zhu De’s joining the party still lays something memorable today.
