Objective To analyze the effect of personalized health education on the compliance of patients with hypertension in community. Methods Eighty-seven hypertensive patients undergoing community management from March 2015 to August 2016 in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group received routine health education while the observation group received personalized health education. The patients were followed up for 3 months. The awareness of disease knowledge, blood pressure control rate, treatment compliance and satisfaction with community nursing were compared between the two groups after receiving community care. Results The knowledge-aware score, blood pressure control rate and treatment compliance in the observation group were more superior than those in the control group, with significant difference (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of community nursing in the observation group was 93.18%, which was higher than 74.42% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Individualized health education in community-based hypertensive patients can improve patient’s cognition and treatment compliance, help them to effectively control blood pressure level and avoid risk factors.
