Freedom of choice can be defined as our choice ultimately depends on ourselves. In the question of whether the will is free or not, there are mainly two different views in philosophy: one is determinism and the other is non-determinism. Determinism holds that human beings’ choices of behavior are always controlled by external factors such as nature, environment and society. Therefore, the will is not free, and it is subject to the law of causality. According to determinism, people do not have the will to be free and thus have no responsibility for moral behavior. Non determinism supports free will. This view holds that the will is absolutely free, that it has no restrictions and that it can go beyond everything and choose whatever it wants.
