Both the tea tannin (12.5-100 mg in 50 ml)and tea leaves(250-500 mg in 50 ml)decoctionshowed marked inhibitory effect on the intestinalmovement of rats and rabbits in vitro.Theiraction increased with dosage.These two tea pre-parations antagonized the spasmodic and toniccontraction of the intestine produced by pilocar-pine nitrate and barium chloride.
Both the tea tannin (12.5-100 mg in 50 ml) and tea leaves (250-500 mg in 50 ml) decoction showed marked inhibitory effect on the intestinal motove of rats and rabbits in vitro. antagonized the spasmodic and toniccontraction of the intestine produced by pilocar-pine nitrate and barium chloride.
