辽宁省博物馆藏有40枚元代纪年铭文铜权,铭文中有关纪年、发行机构、铸造地点以及称量数、权重等信息,为研究元代的行政区划、机构职责、贸易往来以及度量衡制度等提供了重要的实物资料。元代辽宁地区不仅与北京、河北、山西等较近地区进行贸易,也同较远的湖南、四川等地有贸易往来。大都路铜权铸刻的八思巴文、回鹘蒙文、波斯文等铭文则表明了元朝贸易的国际性。权上铸刻明确的称量数、权重,表明元代已经能够制造定量权。
