某铅锌矿开采已久,1972年开始用浮选工艺,曾将大量废水和废渣(尾矿砂)直接向外排放。不久,矿区附近稻田中种的红花草(Astragalus sinicus L.)和芋头(Col-ocasia esculenta Schott.),开始呈现生长不好的现象,接着,鸭生出的软壳蛋较多,社员群众感到头昏、无力、四肢及腰背酸痛等自觉症状日渐增多。对此,我们自1975年开始进行了一些调查工作。调查方法一、体检组织内、外及五官科医务人员到污染区和对照区进行访问及进行体检和特殊化验,检查对象以成年社员为主。
