The National Ignition Facility at Livermore includes many laser amplifiers and optics up to 1m in size and nuclear fusion ignition in 2 to 3mm diameter deuterium-tritium mixed target pellets. The National Ignition Unit has 192 beam lines, each equipped with a strong flash and high-energy capacitor bank and a large number of nonlinear optical crystals that produce the strongest UV laser pulses. A beamline in the past produced 21 kJ infrared pulses (1064
