腺苷假说认为在心肌氧需增加及动脉血氧供减少时,细胞内形成的腺苷及由细胞内释放入组织间液的腺苷量均增加。腺苷作用于冠脉血管的特殊受体而引起冠脉血管扩张。因此,腺苷在心肌氧需及冠脉阻力间起着信使作用。但是最近研究表明:腺苷对冠脉血流的维持及在冠脉血流自动调节中并无作用。研究在经过脚踏板训练的狗身上进行。首先检查冠脉内注射腺苷脱氨酶的作用,并且将此结果与静脉内注射腺苷受体拮抗剂
