In the mid-1980s, after the completion of the main project of the Great Wall Hotel in Beijing, when the builders unveiled their veil, a large, reflective glass was displayed in front of the world. The glorious mirrored glass curtain wall was refreshing and amazed. It was Beijing has added a new landscape. Great Wall Hotel opened the door to the introduction of glass curtain walls for domestic construction. Subsequently, a batch of batches of glass curtain wall buildings have emerged throughout the country. Such as: Beijing’s Jingguang Building, China World Trade Center, Hong Kong and Macao Center; Shanghai’s International Trade Center, Lianyi Building, Ruijin Hotel; Guangzhou’s World Trade Center; Shenzhen’s International Trade Building, and so on hundreds of high-rise buildings. The history of the application of glass curtain walls can be traced back to 1851. For the first time, the British Kiris Tower used a curtain wall made of steel and glass. In contemporary architecture, architects of various countries have successively constructed various forms of glass curtain wall construction. For example, the 39-storey United Nations Building Secretariat building uses dark green glass curtain walls; the 60-story Boston Hancock Life Insurance office building uses glass curtain walls. The shape of the two buildings is epoch-making. The style of the buildings is highly artistic. The reflective characteristics of the large-area glass make the buildings reflect the surrounding scenery and enrich the urban landscape. Hidden frame glass curtain wall has no traditional curtain wall to clamp glass and bear the weight of aluminum alloy frame.
