王亚雄,出生于北京,幼年随父亲学习书法和家具制作,后师从黄苗子先生。1989年赴日本,在徳岛大学、奈良教育大学、东京艺术大学学习生活数年,现为中国艺术研究院艺术创作中心副研究员。王亚雄以他的文人学养进入到他钟情的手工制作之中,他长期坚持手工制作家具、文房用具、茶具酒器以及其他生活用具;他收藏颇丰,涉及广泛,并以此作为他创作和学术研究的基础。王亚雄以文人的姿态一以贯之地对手艺的坚守,既是一种传统风尚的继承,又是一种传统文化的再创造。 Wang Yaxiong, born in Beijing, studied calligraphy and furniture production with his father in his childhood, and later worked under Mr. Huang Miazi.
