On March 29th, 1984, a meeting for the establishment of the China Nonferrous Metals Network was held in Beijing. The Standing Committee of the Science and Technology Committee of the State Administration of Building Materials, the President of the China Silicate Academy, and the Director of the China Mineral Science and Technology Information Network Comrade Xu Zhuoran presided over and conveyed the constitution and plan of China’s Mineral Science and Technology Information Network, and proposed the establishment of a non-metal mineral processing sub-network under the leadership of the General Network.
