美国人类学家L.A.怀特和法国社会学家埃米尔·杜尔凯姆都认为社会文化现象的成因应该从文化或以往社会现象中去寻找解释。[1]古滇铜鼓、贮贝器艺术成长于浓郁的滇地民族文化氛围之中,民族文化赋予其较多的精神内涵。古滇铜鼓、贮贝器艺术在历时性发展中显示了共时性,其艺术一贯之独特性倾向于传达滇民族民族心理、文化观念等。这种独特性是以自然环境为基础,以民族观念、情怀等为渊源;是多种文化现象共同影响和作用的产物。
