通过对桩基础变刚度调平设计现有研究成果的分析,指出了针对高层建筑按常规理念设计的桩基础容易出现超出规范限值的碟形差异沉降,进而引起上部结构产生较大次生应力的现象。总结了产生碟形差异沉降的两个主要原因:一是上部荷载的明显不均匀分布;二是桩-土之间的相互作用。同时对目前研究最多的基础优化设计方法(桩基础变刚度调平设计)及其工程设计实践进行了详细论述。最后总结了桩基础变刚度调平的设计原则、步骤及其各自适用的范围。
