热象仪在过去10~15年内在工业研究和管理、医学诊断、治疗和普通研究等方面获得愈来愈多的应用。新的应用还在不断扩大。最先进的热成象技术可在军用战术装备中发现,然而目前军用装备的数量还不是很大的。热象仪有两大类。一类是测量辐射或者和辐射有关的参数——其中温度是最重要的参数;另一类仅仅要求成象,而不需要定量的参数——军民用的夜视仪就是一例。
The thermal imager has gained more and more applications in industrial research and management, medical diagnosis, treatment and general research in the past 10 to 15 years. New applications are still expanding. State-of-the-art thermal imaging techniques can be found in military tactical equipment, but the current military equipment is still not very large. There are two main types of thermal imager. One is the measurement of radiation or radiation-related parameters - of which temperature is the most important parameter; the other simply requires imaging without the need for quantitative parameters - a civilian night-vision camera is an example.
