本文以英国作家约翰.福尔斯的处女作《收藏家》中的反英雄克莱格为例,通过分析他的无意识的梦境(昼梦和夜梦)、失言、世界观,发现他的“理性”实质上是一种隐秘的欲望和变形的疯狂;他违背人之常情的狡辩,其实是心理上的病态的防御机制;他偏执于虚无主义而丧失了最基本的人性。这印证了艾米莉.狄更生的一句诗:“太多的理性是赤裸裸的疯狂。”在一个科学主义猖獗的时代,如此解剖“理性”显得非要必要。
