贵阳铁路分局管辖湘黔、贵昆、黔桂、川黔四条干线及三条支线，都存在技术标准低，设备简陋陈旧，运营条件困难，运输能力小的特点，运输能力已基本饱和。为此，分局坚持依靠科技进步，先后实现了贵昆、湘黔、川黔三条干线电气化改造，并对贵阳南编组站进行相应的扩建和改造；机车安装“三大件”保证行车安全；在物资管理、运输计划、货运制票、客运售票、车流预确报等１４个局部网络实现计算机管理。随着技术改造的不断完善，运输能力也逐步扩大，运量逐年提高，取得了较好的经济效益和社会效益。 Guiyang Railway Branch has jurisdiction over the four trunk lines and three branch lines of Hunan, Guizhou, Guizhou, Guizhou and Guizhou provinces, Sichuan Province and Guizhou Province, all of which have the characteristics of low technical standards, simple and outdated equipment, difficult operation conditions and small transportation capacity, and their transportation capacity has basically been saturated.
