Strawberry vein banding virus (SVBV) is a double-stranded DNA virus belonging to the genus Cauliflower mosaic virus. The virus particles are spherical with a diameter of 45 nm [1]. The full length of SVBV genome is 7 876 bp, including 7 open reading frames. The molecular weight of SVBV is 37.8, 18.3, 16.6, 56.0, 81.1, 59.0 and 12.6 kDa, respectively [2]. SVBV is a semi-persistent aphid-borne virus with more vectors of virus transmission, such as strawberry anemone peach aphid, Myzus persicae and Thomas capillary aphid.
