著名语言学家、南开大学刘叔新教授于2016年8月1日因病逝世,享年82岁。刘叔新先生笔名舒辛,号韵缕斋士,祖籍广东惠州惠城,1934年3月23日生于广州。1953年考入南开大学中文系学习,1957年毕业留校任助教。1959年2月至1961年1月于北京大学进修学习,受业于高名凯先生和岑麒祥先生。结业后返回南开大学中文系工作,直到退休。1986年晋升为教授,1996年被评为侗傣语专业(后改为中国少数民族语言文学专业)博士
Renowned linguist, Professor Liu Shuxin of Nankai University passed away on August 1, 2016 at the age of 82. Mr. Liu Shuxin pen name Shu Xin, No. Rhymes Zaisi, ancestral home in Huizhou, Guangdong Hui City, March 23, 1934 was born in Guangzhou. In 1953 admitted to the Chinese Department of Nankai University, 1957, graduated from school as an assistant professor. From February 1959 to January 1961, he studied at Peking University and was educated by Mr. Gao Kai and Mr. Cen Qi Xiang. After graduation return to Nankai University Department of Chinese work until retirement. 1986 was promoted to professor, was named in 1996 Dong Dai language professional (later renamed China Minority language and literature) doctor
