The oil-rich Gulf region, strategically located, has always been treacherous. In 1991, there was a global Gulf war broke out in this area. After a lapse of 12 years, the war in Iraq broke out there again. People can not but ask: What are the intrinsic links between these two wars and what is the difference? Obviously, both the United States and Iraq have played a leading role in these two wars. Both were the targets of the attack on Iraq, and the United States both took the lead in cracking down on Iraq. The intrinsic link between these two wars is that the conflicts between the United States and Iraq after the Gulf War not only failed to resolve but intensified. However, there are many differences between the two wars. To compare these differences, one finds that the war in Iraq was a war that should not have happened. In terms of the war inducement, the direct cause of the Gulf War was the Iraqi invasion and annexation of Kuwait in August 1990.
