As early as 1936, Shipley and Hallaran described the early repolarization of the electrocardiogram as a normal ECG variation. Over the past 80 years, academics have been arguing about the early complex wave of awareness and evaluation, which makes the early complex wave as the unopened black box. For the first time, expert consensus drawn up by the three major international rhythm institutes in 2013 classified early-repolarization syndrome into primary hereditary arrhythmia and formally elaborated and defined early repolarization wave. The expert consensus gave such a message to academia that the black box, soon to be repolarized, is about to be opened.
