美国人戴维·拉格在《远东经济评论》撰文曰:“在上海外高桥造船有限公司,大批工人正紧张地忙碌着。这是一艘超大型船只,其名字‘新望海’恰如其分地反映了中国造船业迅速赶超世界的现状……” 戴维·拉格的描述没有错,中国造船业的蓬勃发展之势确令世人刮目。香港造船工业分析家马修·福林分析认为,中国将在2015—2020年间成为世界第一造船国。而另有不少专家认为,由于世界造船业在2002年已经走出了低谷,中国造船业称雄世界可能并不需要那么长的时间。 他者的评说犹在耳畔,但是,我们绝不能因此而沾沾自喜甚至头脑发热。恰恰相反,此时我们更需要“思危”——从来不会有人将既得利益拱手相送。冷静头脑,韬光养晦,埋头实干,也许是我们梦想成真的唯一途径……

The booming development of China’s shipbuilding industry has really made the world look attractive. Analyst Matthew Fulin of Hong Kong’s shipbuilding industry analysts said China will become the world’s number one shipbuilding country by 2015-2020. And many other experts think that as the world shipbuilding industry has bottomed out in 2002, it may not take so long for the Chinese shipbuilding industry to dominate the world. The comment of others is still in my ears, but we must not be complacent or even feverish. On the contrary, we need to be more “thinking critically” at this time - people will never be handed over their vested interests. Calm down, keeping a low profile, hard work, may be the only way our dream come true ...
