在WEHI实验室繁殖的大部分129/J小鼠和小部分C57BL/6小鼠对血吸虫感染具有明显抵抗力。由于门脉漏的出现,门静脉系统的虫体可经血管分流到达肺,肺中炎症反应最终消灭大部分虫体,因而在肝门脉系统中未检出虫体。本研究发现小鼠抵抗力比例与同种鼠肠系膜静脉内注射乳胶小珠显示门脉漏(分流)的比例是高度相关的,用此方法证明:WEHI 129/J小鼠的抵抗力可高达100%;而C57BL/6小鼠抵抗力约为20%;C57BL/6裸鼠(nu/nu)、WEHI 129/J小鼠与C57BL/6或BALB/c小鼠的杂交子_1代(F_1)均为血吸虫适宜宿主,未显示门脉漏;
