Styrene is a colorless to light yellow liquid made from ethylbenzene dehydrogenation, mainly used for the synthesis of monomers for plastics, resins and rubbers in the industry. In 1985, the United States listed it as one of the 10 most-produced chemicals at more than 38,000 tons. Styrene toxicity has been studied in more detail in the 1940s. In 1987, the American Government Association of Industrial Hygienists recommended a TWA of 215 mg / m 3 and a short-term exposure threshold of 425 mg / m ~ 3. There have been many reports about the mutagenic and teratogenic effects of styrene, and the carcinogenic effects of it have also been studied abroad. In recent years, a brief review on the materials in this regard has been made.
