贾宝玉翻着林黛玉的古琴谱,只见竖写一行行,似字又非字,似识又不识,只好比作看天书。其实,这“天书”倒是“人”专为弹琴者记录琴曲而造的,不弹古琴的人,只要稍加学习,一般也不难解。古琴谱,是取左右手技法的名字和按、弹的位置,减其笔划作为符号,并按一定的原则组合成新的方块字。照此弹奏就能得到一定的音高,有的还能反映一定的节奏型。这种记谱法,我们叫它“减字谱”或“指法谱”。当然,它读起来既不是“上、尺、工”,也不是“do、re、mi”,究竟怎么读法,下面我们略举两例。“荀”,谱字上方的“艹”为“散”音(空弦音)的减字
