睡眠对于记忆功能的影响是一个古老的研究课题,因为人们一直相信,睡眠与记忆力密不可分。日前,有两项新的证据证明,优质睡眠在加强白天记忆的过程中起着至关重要的作用。其中一项成果来自美国亚利桑那大学,研究人员发现,在人类大脑中有一块区域分布于海马体周围,在睡眠时可将白天活动生成记忆。另一项研究来自美国休斯敦大学,研究人员认为,调节日夜规律的褪黑素在睡前就开始抑制新增记忆,这可能使白天形成的记忆更易成为长期记忆。
The impact of sleep on memory function is an ancient research topic, because people have always believed that sleep and memory are inseparable. Recently, there are two new evidences that high-quality sleep plays a crucial role in enhancing daytime memory. One of the results came from the University of Arizona in the United States. Researchers found that a region of the human brain is distributed around the hippocampus, which can generate memory during daytime when sleeping. Another study came from the University of Houston in the United States. Researchers believe that melatonin, which regulates the day and night, starts to suppress new memory before going to sleep, which may make the memory formed during the day more likely to be long-term memory.
