关于甜菜母根挖顶芽创造丰产枝型的研究,国外曾有很多报道。我国黑龙江、内蒙也曾做过同类试验。据有关资料报道“窖藏甜菜在冬季入窖前挖去顶芽再配合施肥,比只增施肥料的种株,一般增产百分之五至十左右”。可是窖藏甜菜采用此项技术往往因受当地自然条件及经济条件的限制,实际上在生产上没有加以应用。为利用我地自然条件优势,进一步发挥制种甜菜的生产潜力,近二年笔者大胆地在露地越冬制种中进行了挖顶芽创造丰产技型的试验、示范工作,收到比窖藏制种更为显著的增产效果。种子增产幅度可达30%以上,种子后代原料甜菜产量可增加5%。现将试验情况报告如下:
