出任杨浦大桥总指挥是我主动争取来的。1990年,我在病床上向市委写报告,汇报南浦大桥可以按期完成,而杨浦大桥建设最好还是采用原班人马。因为对南浦大桥的科研项目、施工都很熟悉。原本大家都担心我的身体,不想让我再出任总指挥。但是领导接到我的汇报后非常重视。8月23日,朱镕基到指挥部宣布,还是由我来担任杨浦大桥建设的总指挥。
As general manager of Yangpu Bridge I volunteered to come. In 1990, I wrote a report to the municipal party committee in a hospital bed, reporting that Nanpu Bridge can be completed on schedule, and Yangpu Bridge is best constructed using the same people. Because of the Nanpu Bridge research projects, construction are very familiar. We were all worried about my body, do not want me to serve as commander in chief. However, leaders received great attention after receiving my report. August 23, Zhu Rongji announced to the headquarters, or by me as the general manager Yangpu Bridge.
