本文聚焦于约翰·济慈著名的十四行诗《初读查普曼译的荷马》及其所代表的古希腊神话世界,简析了济慈后期主要作品的故事情节和主题与古希腊神话的关系,并指出济慈通过阅读重要译者的经典译文从而认知古希腊神话世界这一重要事实。通过比较该诗两个著名的中译本,本文试图揭示诗歌翻译尽管遭受到各界广泛的质疑,但是优美、通达和传神的译文可以确保经典作品能够超越时空的障碍,而翻译活动可以传递蕴藏在诗歌文本中的人类核心价值。
This article focuses on the famous sonnets of John Keats, “The Homer of Chapman’s Translation,” and the world of ancient Greek myths represented by it. It analyzes the storyline and theme of the major works of Keats in the later period. Mythology and pointed out Keats’s important fact of recognizing the ancient Greek mythology world by reading the classical translations of important translators. By comparing two famous Chinese versions of this poem, this article tries to reveal that poetic translation, despite being widely questioned by all walks of life, is beautiful, accessible and vivid to ensure that classical works can transcend the obstacles in time and space and that translation activities can convey poems Human core values in texts.
