This paper discusses the ambiguity function of the step frequency coded signal and proposes a positive and negative step frequency coded signal and its processing method. The proposed method overcomes the shortcomings of conventional stepping frequency coded signals such as distance-velocity coupling, high target-velocity joint resolution and strong clutter suppression ability.
