肉鸡腹水症是肉鸡饲养中常见的疾病，其发病特点是：公鸡高于母鸡，3-6周龄为本病的高发期；冬季寒冷季节多发，饲养条件差，鸡舍卫生不佳，空气污浊，发病率可达10％-20％，死亡率达30％左右，给肉鸡饲养业造成极大损失。
