独山县地处贵州高原南部,与广西壮族自治区南丹县接壤,由此逐渐过渡到广西盆地,生产水稻、小麦、油菜、麻类等作物,是黔南布依族苗族自治州的主要产粮区。在地质上位于新华夏构造体系独山箱状背斜核 Dushan is located in the southern part of Guizhou Plateau and borders with Nandan County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It gradually transitions to Guangxi Basin to produce rice, wheat, rapeseed and hemp crops. It is the main grain-producing area in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture . It is geologically located in Dushan box-like anticline core of the Neo-Huaxia structural system
