中南地区第一届金属制品技术交流会于八○年三月三日——九日在广州举行。这次会议在广州市冶金局的亲切关怀和支持下,由湘潭钢铁厂、武汉钢丝绳厂、长沙线材厂、广州镀锌铁丝厂根据“江阴会议”精神联合举办的,来自中南五省的金属制品行业代表及邀请单位代表共48个单位,66名同志参加了盛会。会议首先交流了两年来,金属制品行业的科研攻关、革新、挖潜、改造等成果,对于拉丝拉拔生产线,远红外线的应用、低碳马氏体高强钢丝、双捻工艺及双捻机、由空切割钢丝
