OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of orthodontic treatment on the face appearance of patients with Class Ⅱ division 1 malformations by studying the visual analogue scale changes of the color photographs of the front class Ⅱ1 patients with malocclusion. Methods: Forty male and female patients were selected randomly from our hospital for orthodontic treatment. The visual analogue scale was given to each group of patients by the scoring group. The visual analogue scale was the closest to the median and the standard deviation was Photograph of one small woman and one woman as a reference photograph. Then the Class Ⅱ 1 malformation patients with malformations before and after treatment, two groups of photos were visually simulated scoring. 40 patients were randomly selected for the treatment of Class Ⅱ division malocclusion patients, each patient before treatment or after treatment of photos and same-sex reference photos as a unit at the same time, in order of random arrangement, by the score panel visual simulation score. The scores before and after treatment were analyzed by SPSS 11.0 software package for single-sample t-test and paired t-test. Results: One male and female patient were selected as the reference photographs. The average number of patients with Class Ⅱ 1 malformations before treatment was 43.839 and the overall average number after treatment was 48.328. Assuming the population average rating score of 50, all patients before treatment score single-sample t test, P <0.01, the difference was statistically significant; after treatment, the score value of single-sample t test, P> 0.05, the difference was not statistically Significance of learning. The mean before and after treatment scores were paired t test, P <0.01, the difference was statistically significant after treatment than before treatment. Conclusion: Class Ⅱ 1 malocclusion significantly affects the facial appearance of patients. Orthodontic treatment can significantly improve facial features of patients with Class Ⅱ division malocclusion so as to reach the level of common people.
