四、論各派概率分佈線之性質(一)各派概率分佈線的性質分論四十年來,各國工程師和学者們为了統計水文資料,曾採用了或創造了很多种的概率分佈線;其性質或逈乎不同,或大同小異.茲列举主要的11种,依問世前後为次序,分别評論共性質、优缺點及適用性.1.黑臣概率線(1920,美國)黑臣最先应用統計法於水文計算(見[7],[6]);在这以前,对於雨量計算則早已有人用統計法了.此法公佈時無概率或頻率公式,只备一些表式,作者自称完全是从計算經驗中得出的,未分析是怎样得出的,但也用C_V,C_S係數,故仍屬純經驗性.其後福斯特發表皮尔遜III型線統計法後,發觉其結果和III型、I型近似,此法便自然淘汰了.
