提出了一种基于小波变换的结构矩阵矢量量化方法。该方法利用图像经过小波变换后,不同分辨率级子图像之间存在相似性,将已生成的第m级图像的分类信息传递给第m-1级图像,并利用各子图像的结构特性,对矢量量化后的编码结果采用结构矩阵的方法进一步压缩。实验表明该方法在较好图像质量的情况下获得了高压缩比,和有关文献给出的结果进行比较,该算法具有较好的性能。
A vector quantization method based on wavelet transform is proposed. The method uses the similarity of the sub-images of different resolution levels after the image is transformed by wavelet transform, and the classification information of the m-th image generated is transmitted to the m-1-th image. With the structural characteristics of each sub-image, The vector quantization of the encoding results using structural matrix method to further compression. Experiments show that the proposed method achieves high compression ratio under the condition of better image quality and compared with the results given in the literature. The proposed algorithm has good performance.
