博希和勃鲁盖尔的作品体现了荒诞表现的时代特点和地域民族特征,具有尼德兰绘画浓重的中世纪哥特艺术的神秘、晦涩、象征的特点和禁欲主义的道德说教目的。博希的独特在于以怪异可怖的形象、混乱熙攘的场面直接地表现了丑陋、罪恶和放纵,体现了对社会现实的严厉审视和道德评判。勃鲁盖尔的作品反映了他不避丑陋的严肃理性的现实观而具有更明显的民族地域特征和现实生活的真实性。
The works of Boshi and Bruegel reflect the epochal characteristics of absurd performance and the regional national characteristics. They have the mysterious, obscure, symbolic features of medieval Gothic art which are rich in the paintings of Netherland and the purpose of ethical education of asceticism. His uniqueness lies in directly displaying ugliness, sin and indulgence in a bizarre and horrible scene, which shows the harsh scrutiny and moral judgment of social reality. Bruegel’s works reflect his notion of ugly, serious and rational reality and have more obvious characteristics of ethnic areas and real life.
