作者对４９２名大学生的身高、体重、手长和中指近节长进行了活体测量和统计分析，结果男女性身高均高于全国平均水平，属高型或超高型身材、体重与全国平均水平一致，但手长较全国平均值略短，分别求出以体重、手长、中指过节长推算身高的回归方程（ｒ值在０．１４９～０．９１之间），经显著性检验（Ｐ均＜０．０１），认为回归方程可靠。
